Once you have chosen the method of mounting your fast travel board, make sure you have all the necessary supplies: an angle iron, screws, straps, and a ladder. Start by checking to see if your roof is safe enough to install the board. If there are any obstacles or sharp edges on the roof, you’ll need to take those into account when mounting the board.
Next, measure the distance between the edge of your angle iron and the edge of your roof. This will determine how wide your straps need to be. Make sure each strap measures at least 20 inches long so that they can reach all the way around the edge of the board.
