1. Introduction
The coronavirus pandemic has resulted in many countries imposing travel restrictions and requiring incoming travellers to present a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination.
There are, however, a few countries that have reopened their borders to travellers without these requirements. Here are some of the countries you can travel to without a vaccine or a negative COVID-19 test:
Armenia
Armenia reopened its borders to international travellers in October 2020. No negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination is required.
Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan reopened its borders to international travellers in December 2020. No negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination is required.
Belarus
Belarus reopened its borders to international travellers in August 2020. No negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination is required.
Bhutan
Bhutan reopened its borders to international travellers in October 2020. All travellers must present a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival.
Burundi
Burundi reopened its borders to international travellers in December 2020. No negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination is required.
Cambodia

2. Countries that do not require a COVID-19 vaccine
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage countries around the world, many nations are now mandating that travelers show proof of vaccination before being allowed entry. This has led to a lot of confusion and frustration among travelers who are trying to figure out where they can and cannot go.
There are, however, a few countries that have announced that they will not require travelers to show proof of vaccination. Here are two of them:
Morocco
Morocco has been one of the more outspoken countries when it comes to not requiring proof of vaccination. The country’s tourism minister, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, has said that Morocco is “not considering making vaccination against Covid-19 mandatory for visitors.”
Alaoui did say, however, that Morocco is “strongly recommending” that travelers get vaccinated before coming to the country. She also said that the country is working on a “vaccination passport” that would allow vaccinated travelers to “benefit from a fast-track procedure upon arrival.”
So, while Morocco isn’t requiring proof of vaccination, it is strongly encouraged. And, if you are vaccinated, you may be able to take advantage of a quicker entry process.
Bhutan
Bhutan has also said that it will not require travelers to show proof of vaccination. The country’s tourism minister, Jigme Zangpo, has said that Bhutan is “not planning to make vaccination mandatory” and that the country is instead “focusing on providing the vaccine to our own people.”
Zangpo did say, however, that Bhutan is “discussing the possibility” of offering a “vaccine incentive” to travelers who can show proof of vaccination. He did not elaborate on what this incentive would be.
So, while Bhutan isn’t requiring proof of vaccination, the country is considering offering some sort of incentive to those who can show that they’ve been vaccinated.
These are just two of the countries that have announced
3. Countries that may soon lift their vaccine requirement
As the world continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic, many countries are now requiring proof of vaccination in order to allow entry.
However, there are a few countries that may soon lift this requirement. Here are three countries that may soon allow entry without a vaccine:
1. Greece
Greece has been one of the most welcoming countries to tourists during the pandemic. In fact, they were one of the first countries to open their borders back up to travelers.
However, they do require proof of a negative Covid-19 test. They are now considering lifting this requirement for vaccinated travelers.
2. Iceland
Iceland has been vaccinating their population at a rapid pace and they are now considering opening their borders back up to vaccinated travelers.
They are also looking into the possibility of allowing entry to those who have recovered from Covid-19.
3. Portugal
Portugal has been working on a “digital green certificate” that would allow vaccinated travelers to enter the country.
They are also considering allowing entry to those who have recovered from Covid-19 and have a negative test.
These are just a few of the countries that may soon lift their vaccine requirements. As more and more people get vaccinated, we can expect to see more countries open their borders back up.
4. What to do if your destination requires a vaccine
There are a few things to keep in mind if you’re planning to travel to a country that requires a vaccine for entry. First, make sure you’re up to date on all the necessary vaccinations. You’ll also need to get a certificate of vaccination from a doctor or a travel clinic, which you’ll need to present upon arrival.
If you’re not up to date on your vaccinations, or if you can’t get a certificate of vaccination, you may still be able to travel to some countries by getting a special waiver. Check with the embassy of your destination country to see if this is an option.
In some cases, you may be able to get a vaccine on arrival. This is usually only possible for certain types of vaccines, such as yellow fever. Again, check with the embassy to see if this is an option for your destination.
If you’re unable to get a vaccine or a waiver, you may still be able to travel to some countries if you can prove that you’ve had a recent negative test for the disease in question. Check with the embassy to see if this is an option for your destination.
5. Conclusion
There are a few countries you can travel to without a vaccine, but most of them are not ideal destinations. The best bet is to get vaccinated and then travel to your desired destination.
